ASCII BUSH/Yoshi Sodeoka needs your help

Dear Community,

As many of you know, Turbulence is spotlighting Yoshi Sodeoka's ASCII
BUSH (see Net Art News, September
29–http://rhizome.org/netartnews/story.rhiz?×tamp 040929).
Traffic to the site has been enormous, and as of this afternoon, had
exceeded Turbulence's monthly bandwidth. As a result, we have had to
take the project off-line.

We're looking for 3 or 4 other servers to help ...

What I want from Linux is....OSes and Art and Visualization....

For its denizens to leave 1977 and embrace the modern
world which overall they/we have.;) My problem is I haven't
found a replacement for many Windows or MAC graphics tools.

THer GIMP would be great with improvements and if the
Windows version was $79.00US, then my giftie version ...
