Daniel Rourke

Daniel Rourke is a writer/artist and academic currently finalising a PhD in Art at Goldsmiths, University of London. His work exploits speculative and science fiction in search of a radical ‘outside’ to the human(ities), including extensive research on the intersection between digital materiality, the arts, and posthumanism.In March 2015 Daniel and artist & activist Morehshin Allahyari released The 3D Additivist Manifesto: a call to push technologies beyond their breaking point, into the realm of the provocative, and the weird. The project was the 2016 recipient of the prestigious Vilém Flusser Residency for Artistic Research, Berlin, where they will work on producing the ‘final’ 3D Additivist Cookbook for publication in late 2016.Daniel is lecturer in Arts and Digital Media at London South Bank University, and associate lecturer in the History of Art, Design and Film at Kingston University, London.http://machinemachine.nethttp://twitter.com/therourkehttp://thefacebook.com/danielrourke
