James is a NYC based hybrid media artist. His work brings together projected moving images, sculpture and performance. His recent productions include: Dream Tentacle at Ideal Glass in June 2010 in collaboration with Lucia JeeSun Lee, and Crystal Futures Installation and Performance at Bent Festival in May of 2010 in DUMBO. James has been recognized in Light and Sound America for his technical work programing a 13 channel video set for Diary of A Teenage Girl at 3LD. Brooklyn Now: a nine channel video installation documenting the entire perimeter of Brooklyn screened at NYU Polytechnic in 2008 and the 2009 Bushwick Film Festival.James' work merges narrative artifact, video, sound, performance & ritual to create mythical cinemascapes. Dimensions existing beyond our conditioned perception of time and space bring meaning and inspiration to his work. James is a former LMCC Swing Space recipient and has been featured in festivals & galleries in NYC including: Whitebox Gallery, Junto Gallery, Dumbo Art Under the Bridge Festival & Figment Art Festival.
