As an artist and Writer, I find escapism to be very important in art. What I feel gives that escapism more depth and plausibility is giving it deeper meaning, weather it be a story behind a piece, symbolism, and/ or just plain emotion. When I apply these things to my artwork, certain pieces fit together and form stories. Then symbols, figures, and characters are repeated throughout certain handfuls of pieces.
