News: Mobile Processing has finally launched, bringing the world of Java-powered mobile phones within range of Processing enthusiasts everywhere. Congratulations to Francis Li and the Processing team, this is a bit of a scoop.

The site is a basic so far, so I guess there is still a way to go before the project is fully fleshed out. Here’s the most important info most people will want to know: “Sketches created using Mobile Processing will run on Java Powered handsets, also known as Java 2 Micro Edition (J2ME) handsets. Mobile Processing sketches are mobile applications, called MIDlets, that are currently compatible with the CLDC 1.0, MIDP 1.0 release of the J2ME platform.
