The Studio Arts Program of the Department of Art, Architecture, and
Art History at the University of Massachusetts Amherst seeks an
Assistant Professor in New Media. Required: M.F.A. at time of hire;
demonstrated technical expertise in digital media art, video, and
animation; historical knowledge of video art and digital animation;
knowledge of contemporary critical discourse; interest in
interdisciplinary collaboration. Preferred: demonstrated interest in
hybrid forms, performance, installation, and sound; software certified
instructor; strong exhibition record; teaching experience beyond
graduate school. Tenure track, beginning September 2012. Salary
commensurate with qualifications and experience. Application deadline
