I avoid participate in discussions of people who I don't know (them or their
work). But I enjoy listening , so even if I am
very busy with the exhibition at Jeffrey's, I will spend some time here to
clarify some points.
1. manetas.org is somebody else : the domain www.manetas.org is still
available : there is none with this e-mail. Either he is an amateur who is
fooling Rhizome ( why they have not a system to avoid that ? It just create
confusion, its not even funny) , or is somebody from the Rhizome people who
does that as an art project or something. Anyway, I enjoy him - he try to
imitate my style and he is getting better : ) .
2. Biennale.net is a collection I started after commission of the Flash Art
magazine for Tirana. They had no budged so nobody got paid: we all worked for
free and myself I spend at least 6000 $ on it. I did just because I have
nothing better to do : I don't really care about what you call Net Art but I
love visual surprises created with computers : some of them are even genius.
I am also putting together the NEEN movement and I need samples to make the
press believe that understands what its all about.
All the people invited knew about it. Only presstube and pornolize.com didn't
reply to my e-mails but I include them anyway because I like them a lot.
Detail : nothing on the show is for sale : Jeffrey just spend money for his (
and your ) pleasure. Gallerists are nice people-like hotel hosts.
3. I don't believe you need any permission to show stuff. Aesthetics is a
public domain.Anybody is welcome to copy my paintings. If he will make them
better than myself, I will sign them so he can even sell them.
4. John White C. , copied that other artist's drawing . So what ? He
transform it to a Flash, he animated it and he produced a masterpiece that I
will be very happy to show to people forever and hopefully he will soon sell
for at least 20.000 $.
Also, because of this accident , we came to know the existence of the other
guy whose work I find promising and who I will include in the guests section
of the Biennale.net and invite at the Electronic Orphanage.
5. I am tired of writing ; please , think a little by yourselves and whoever
is in NY , come to the show : today its the last day !!!
Best
