Albright College seeks applicants for a full-time tenure-track position in the Digital Media Department, with a focus on gaming and simulation design, beginning August 15, 2012. Qualified candidates should hold a terminal degree in appropriate and related fields, preference being given to individuals with a Ph.D. and with demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching. A solid portfolio reflecting a high degree of knowledge in game design and game development required. Ideal candidates should be familiar with developing games on consoles, PCs, and mobile devices, in conjunction with media theory and history.

Job responsibilities include assisting in the development, support, and teaching of a curricular program in game design and simulation, supervising student projects, continued scholarly activity and service to the College. Commitment to the liberal arts a must. Applicants should send a letter of application, vita, summarized evidence of teaching effectiveness, portfolio of scholarly work, and three letters of reference (at least one about teaching) to hr@alb.edu.
