pbfb The Prize Budget for Boys collective formed soon after Tristan Parish,
Ellsworth LeRoy, and Percival Peabody found themselves amongst the
disgruntled dissidents leaving the notoriously fascist Panda House Academic
Art-Op. Amidst the scandal surrounding the alleged bibliophilic
improprieties, the Boys found themselves united in the conviction that none
of them would be content with the knowledge found in books. To parallel
Ellsworth's SKI-Ching study, the remaining 2/3 of PBFB also decided to let
"randomness" determine their direction. While residing in Toronto, Percival
& Tristan declared that they would set out on a voyage through the World
Wide Web guided only by the accidents of search engines, with a trust
founded in Zen that the result least likely to match one's query is the
answer one needs to find. In their continued commitment to a culture of
waste, they also vowed to only read books picked at random from thrift store
bins of discarded books. The only communication permitted to Ellsworth
during his year-long meditation was a series of performative postcards from
Percival and Tristan. The three Prize Budget for Boys members assembled
those missives into the informative and entertaining travelogue you will
witness tonight:
The Spectacular Vernacular Revue.

See them live:
May 21 at the Pilot Tavern
