Call for the first Digital and Interdisciplinary Art Practice [DIAP] Artists Residency at The City College of New York:

City College is launching a new MFA degree program in Digital and Interdisciplinary Art Practice in September 2011. To inaugurate this program, we are seeking an artist working in digital/interdisciplinary media for a three-month project residency from March 1-May 30th, 2011. A studio and one-time stipend of $1000 will be provided.

Responsibilities include a public lecture and presentation of the artists’ project in an open studio at the conclusion of the residence. The artist-in-residence is required to spend at least 16 hours on campus each week during the residency. No formal teaching experience is required, but the ability to informally interact with students working in a broad range of media and techniques, which can include photography and new media, is desirable. The resident artist will have access to the City College Art Department facilities.
