22 is a new digital magazine/gallery based out of Brooklyn, NY featuring 22 contributors each issue.
We are looking for intriguing art, poetry, fiction, nonfiction, video, animation and more.
The restrictions are few and the work is chosen by the creators or a visiting guest editor.
Many of our issues revolve around themes which will be posted in advance of each issue.
22 features work by artists and writers (sometimes in conjunction) in a several page spread. Each issues culminates in a salon style live event featuring the work of the contributors.
There are no fees or ads involved.

For the premiere issue we are currently seeking work relating to the following topics but feel free to send us your best work even if it isn't on the list.
Subject relation can be broad and interpretative:

Animals or Beasts
Buffalo
Early Civil Rights figures
“Crossing the line”
“Drawing the line”
“Hanging by a thread”
Spatial distance vs. Emotional distance
Topography and terrains
Defacement or vandalism of fine art or books
Books in general and the role they play as object
Text as Art
Letters as objects
Blood Transfusion
Monsters
New York City
Mosques
