Yaffo 23, part of Bezalel Academy of Arts and design Jerusalem, is a new art-site located in downtown Jerusalem. It occupies the 3rd floor of the old post office building from the time of the British Mandate, a huge 1000m (10,000SF) facility that will house new practices in art and design and combine research, theory, and action.

We are looking for any idea that can make creative use of this spectacular new space and its unique location. As part of our opening events, we are putting together a show titled “Correspondences” in which one artist, usually some one who can't come or won't come, provides instructions to a local artist who would perform their work. It's about impossibility, losing control, dialogue, community, risk, avatars and accidents. We imagine that this form of substitution where creativity is the product of a communal process works well with the current modes of exchanging experience and knowledge.
