Interactive Media and Knowledge Environments

Interactive Media and Knowledge Environments (IMKE) is an international new media master program offered by the department of Informatics, Tallinn University. All instruction is in English. The special focus of IMKE is on knowledge environments, i.e., digital interactive systems of the Web 2.0. orientation, such that facilitate sharing information and constructing knowledge within virtual communities and social software, mobile communities, e-learning, public and commercial e-services, e-participation, games and playing.

The program is a partner of the joint European Masters in Interactive Media (EMIM) offering a possibility of a joint award, in addition to plenty of shared courses taught over the web. IMKE also belongs to the local curricular collaboration Tallinn Media Cluster (TMC), established in order to cover a range of media courses, including cinema, communication studies, urban planning and media art.
