FAD - Digital Art Festival is accepting applications from artists interested in taking part on the 4th edition of the event, scheduled for September, 2010. The period for submitting material is from May 17th to June 30th, 2010.
Pixel Art, Digital Music, Digital Media, open source software, social networks, the mobile world. The contemporary vocabulary has changed, as well as the creation of platforms used by artists in developing their work. FAD - Digital Art Festival, call for artists to participate in the selection process of its fourth edition. We are interested In all forms of art produced by means of computers, software, hardware, mobile phones, camcorders, digital cameras, electronic devices using either low or high technology.
The Deadline
The terms and conditions for the call FAD 2010 are available at the event's official website. The submission period starts on May 17 and ends on June 30, 2010. The registration can only be made via internet through the website: www.festivaldeartedigital.com.br/edital
May enroll in the call for proposals artists from all over Brazil as well as international artists in the form of individual or collective entries (these represented by a single integrant).
It is permitted to submit works in more than one area by the same individual or group.
The application process should be accomplished through digital form available on the festival's page. The applicant should not send any document or support material by regular mail.
FAD
In 2010 FAD makes its 4th edition. Once again, Belo Horizonte will host artists from many parts of Brazil and worldwide.
In the 2010 edition, FAD has the sponsorship of Oi and cultural support from Oi Futuro. Activities from FAD Symposium and Laboratory, FAD Gallery and FAD Performance will take place in the facilities of Oi Futuro (Oi Futuro Visual Arts Gallery, Klauss Vianna Oi Futuro Theater, Oi Futuro Multi space). FAD Webart will be based at Quina Galeria, a cultural space located in Edificio Maleta, downtown.
FAD 2010 will receive submissions for the following areas:
1) FAD Performance A / V (audiovisual concerts)
Audiovisual Performances (A / V) are projects dedicated to live artistic presentation involving the use audio and images synchronously. Important: There will not be accepted for this category non authorial works and projects that do not have an A / V (audiovisual) concept. The work should have an audiovisual theme developed simultaneously in sound and image.
2) FAD Gallery (interactive installations)
Interactive installations are works that mix artistic content and some kind interaction with the viewer / user (public). The use of tools, devices and technology, as well as the subject, is open.
3) FAD Web-Art (digital art, virtual reality, etc.)
Web art works are artistic content developed for being displayed on computer screen or for manipulation via web (internet). The use of tools and technology as well as the theme, is open.
4) Laboratory FAD (Workshops)
Proposals for short-term workshops with free theme. The objective of this program is the development and / or training in the use of new tools for audio and video, for creating interactive works, free software apps (applications), among others, for professional use or not.
