LORI LEDIS EMERGING CURATOR PROGRAM
WHAT | Twice annually, BRIC dedicates the Project Room at BRIC Rotunda Gallery and staff support to realizing the vision of two emerging curators who are selected through a competitive process. Chosen curators develop and present a thematic group exhibition of artwork by contemporary Brooklyn artists. Each finalist is awarded a $800 honorarium and is named a Lori Ledis Curatorial Fellow.
WHO | Any creative person who wishes to curate an exhibition may apply. Curators who hold a junior position at a cultural institution and/or who work in a freelance capacity are eligible to apply. The program is not open to students.
WHERE | Two finalists will be chosen to curate an exhibition to be presented in the Project Room.
WHEN | Applications are due June 1, 2010. Exhibitions are scheduled in the 2010-2011 season.
HOW | A jury will review proposals to select two finalists.
