AbsoluteZER0 is a vibrant street festival where the public can engage with art, music, science, and technology in new and interesting ways outside on city streets. The event is free and open to the public and is presented in collaboration with Anno Domini Gallery, MACLA, San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles, and San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art. The street festival will take place from 5:00 pm to midnight on Friday, September 17, 2010 in the SoFA District along 1st Street between San Carlos and Reed Streets in downtown San Jose.
ZER01 is inviting artists and artist teams to apply for a micro-grant towards the creation of a project, hands-on activity, or performance that will take place at AbsoluteZER0 during the 2010 01SJ Biennial. Artists are challenged to address the Biennial theme 'Build Your Own World' and imagine not just what is next, but work to ensure what’s next matters.
