CALL FOR ART

Title: LUMEN
The visual arts gallery of Middlesex County College, Edison, NJ is seeking submissions for a group exhibition curated by Asha Ganpat. We are looking for internally-lit sculptures and installations to exhibit in a darkened space. Sound, Interactive, and Kinetic art are encouraged. Open to artists working in all media. Proposals should include size (and frame size, if applicable) and a brief description of the submitted artwork.

ELIGIBILITY
This show is open to all artists working in any media. All forms of art are eligible. There is a limit of 5 entries per artist. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to apply. All work must be ready for installation or hanging.

REQUIRED MATERIALS
Digital submissions only. Please include in a single zip file: resume, artist statement, images, numbered image reference list with medium, year, dimensions, and price.

DEADLINE
The FINAL deadline is Friday November 20, 2009. All entries must be received by midnight, no exceptions.

FEE
There is no fee for submission.

IMAGE PRESENTATION
JPEG images, please include a single reference sheet with image titles numbered. On numbered image reference list include the title, file name, medium, dimensions, price, and date of the work.

NOTIFICATION
Artists will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance no later then Monday November 30, 2009. Notification will be made by e-mail.

RECEIVING AND REMOVAL OF WORK
Work may be delivered by hand or by private, pre-paid shipment. All shipped work is to be received between Monday January 11 and Friday January 15. All hand-delivered work must arrive on January 18. Artist sends prepaid return shipment with work. Return packaging is required. No substitutes of accepted artwork shall be permitted.

SALES
All sales go through the artist.
