ARCHIVE
Plugged Art Collective would like to include accepted videos in the online archive on Plugged’s website. The online archive supports Plugged’s mission to make relevant artwork more accessible to the public. In addition the online library will act as host for a global community of artists. Ideally this platform will act as a meeting point for living artists to meet each other’s work and spawn further creativity. Please read “Screening Agreement” below for details.
MISSION
Plugged Art Collective is comprised of multi-media artists who are as diverse as their artwork. Based in the heart of the U.S south, Plugged understands the need to reach out to other artists and the importance of a creative community. Our mission as a group is to bring artists together, provide communities with humorous, thought-provoking, boundary-crossing artwork, and above all make contemporary artwork accessible and significant.
Formed in 2004, Plugged has organized various events ranging from international video festivals, performance & installation festivals, traveling screenings to artist panel discussions. Plugged is proud to keep each event free for artists to submit work and free for the public to attend. The traveling screenings take place at various venues such as universities, commercial galleries, non-profit galleries, artist run galleries, and public outdoor spaces.
