The Smokebrush Gallery in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is seeking artists working with environmentally related themes and mediums for a variety of exhibitions and workshops. We are a progressive, contemporary art gallery and foundation committed to facilitating global change through art. This year marks the launch of our new B.I.G. Idea Workshops (Brilliant, Innovative, & Gutsy), which unite art and eco-technology. Our exhibitions dovetail with the workshop themes in order to cross-pollinate and broaden audiences. Artists awarded an exhibition month in our 2010 gallery schedule may also be contracted to teach a one or two-day B.I.G. Idea Workshop at a mountain ranch just minutes west of Colorado Springs. Applicants are encouraged to visit our website to read about some of the current exhibits and workshops in this program. Exhibition and workshop concepts should be geared towards creative excellence with regard to relevance / strength of ideas and quality of craftsmanship. We are looking for artist from Colorado and New Mexico.
