We want your art! Yes YOU! Show art in a gorgeous east village garden http://cenyc.org/openspace/gardens/man/miracle. Meet many local, New York artists (young, old and everything in between) and enjoy a beautiful Spring/Summer day full of awesome (not to mention your) art. This is truly a unique opportunity to engage with the vibrant, artistic and inspiring East Village community. We hope to feed from, share and indulge in the spirit and energy of this special neighborhood and create a utopian space filled with art for art’s sake. Think of this as the incubational show in a new series of exhibitions in this communal location—a kind of ‘test-run’ filled with kumbaya attitude and neighborhood spirit.
State of the economy got you down? Feel like tossing that sculpture into a garden instead of the trash? Send it to us!! Will it sustain rain, wind or fire? We hope so! This show isn't for your latest masterpiece—it’s a chance for you to show some art one last time before you chuck it!
Were asking for works of ALL mediums (sculpture, performance, works on paper, painting, video, installation, new and multimedia–everything!) the only thing we ask is you be able to install it yourself in a respectful, egalitarian way. Remember: kumbaya! Best of all, there is no entry fee!!!
Who we are: an artist and a community planner curating a Super-Awesome-Miracle exhibition! This is the inaugural show in this space and the future holds opportunities for grander, bigger and even more miraculous shows—be part of this from the beginning!!
