Alpan International 2009

International Deadline: May 2, 2009 - Alpan Gallery announces it's 2009 International Juried Exhibition. Open to all artists over 18 years of age working in two and three dimensions in any media including photography and installation. Maximum size of 6 ft. in height or width for 2D works, and 6 ft. in any dimension for 3D works.

Awards
Group Show at the Aplan Gallery in September 2009, no commission on sales, US $500 cash award for the 'Best of Show'.

The gallery will also review the entries (in addition to the juror) to select additional artists to be included in the online registry for at least two years where artists’ contact info and resumes are provided for the curators and clients.

Juror
Rhonda Cooper, Director of the University Art Gallery in the Staller Center at Stony Brook University.

Entry Procedure
You can submit slides, prints or CD’s.

* Slides: (35 mm) in standard paper or plastic mounts (no glass).
* Prints: (no larger than 8.5 x 11 inches). On each slide or print, write the title of the work, media, size, name of the artist, and an arrow indicating the top of the work. No detail slides or prints (except for 3D works) will be considered.
* CD’s: jpeg or gif file format only and readable on Windows based PC computers. File size should be between 500K and 1.5M. Please check your disks before sending. Defective disks will not be viewed.

Fee
Enclose the slides, prints or CD’s and the completed entry form (download) with a non-refundable entry fee of US $35 for three images and $ 5.00 for each additional image (cash, check, money order, or traveler’s check payable to ALPAN Gallery) and a stamped, self-addressed envelope of sufficient size and postage if you need your material to be returned.

Accepted Works
Must reach the gallery (both hand delivered or shipped) by August 22, 2009. Works must be shipped pre-paid in sturdy reusable containers. The artist will be responsible for all freight to and from the gallery. All work must be properly wired for hanging, labeled on the back with the artist’s name, title of work, medium and price.

Any work that does not accurately represent the image or quality shown on the accepted slide, print or CD will be rejected.

Liability
All works of art will be insured only while on the premises. Artists are responsible for insuring the work during transit to and from the gallery. Gallery does not assume any responsibility for damage or loss to slides, prints or art works during transit to and from the gallery. Submission of entry for this exhibition will constitute agreement on the part of the artists to these terms.
