Viewers walk through complete darkness while the sounds of car traffic screech, stop and crash in response to their presence. Since 1993, Intersection has been experienced by over 600,000 in 7 countries.

The Ethics of Aesthetics

Ritter presents material from his upcoming book “The e Decision” which discusses the relationships between aesthetics, ethics, and new media. Based on intensive interviews with new media curators from North America, Europe and Asia, the book outlines the influences and consequences of aesthetic judgements.

Don Ritter
Since 1986, Ritter’s large-scale interactive installations, performances, and single-channel videos have been exhibited in North America, Europe, and Asia. His work has received support and recognition from the Canada Council, The Banff Center,(Canada), Ars Electronica (Austria), Pratt Institute (NYC), and the ZKM (Germany). He is represented in New York City by Jack the Pelican.
