An interdisciplinary international conference on New Sciences of Protection: Designing Safe Living will take place at Lancaster University, UK, July 10-12, 2008. Keynote speakers include designers Anthony Dunne and Fiona Raby, filmmaker Lynn Hershman Leason, and academics Lucy Suchman, Benjamin H. Bratton, Susan Silby, and Richard Buchanan.
