Overview
The LaGuardia Studio (LGS) is a full-service Additive Manufacturing and 3D digitization facility that features a wide range of commercial 3D technologies and production materials with a dedicated full-time support staff. This position will be part of a talented team that facilitates professional service work in DMLS, FDM, SLA, PolyJet, and Multi-Fusion Jet printing, in addition to 3D scanning and immersive AR/VR production related to the LGS 3D services.

The LaGuardia Studio provides an advanced 3D service portfolio with extensive 3D content and project design development support for New York University researchers, faculty, students and staff on projects that span a vast range of study including scientific research, biomedical, engineering, entrepreneurial, and arts and science scholarly work.


Responsibilities
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in design, engineering, computer science, fine art or related field or equivalent experience.

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree Additive Manufacturing Certification or equivalent experience

Required Experience:
3+ years 3-5 years relevant professional experience leading a portfolio of production services for advanced 3D enterprise-level production services. Must include experience supporting advanced 2D and 3D imaging applications, 3D printing, 3D scanning and immersive AR/VR applications.

Preferred Experience:
Technical experience in relevant field, such as Additive Manufacturing and fabrication arts to include 3D modeling, enterprise-level 3D printing, 3D scanning and immersive AR/VR production applications.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to clearly communicate concepts to a non-technical audience. Excellent organizational, project management and technical skills. Familiarity and understanding of database management, programming, systems administration, network architecture. Understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator), Autodesk MAYA, SolidWorks, MeshLab, Pixoligic ZBrush, Geomagic Studio, Cinema 4D, Rinocerus 3D, netfab Studio, Geomagic Design X, Materialise Magics, Autodesk Fusion 360 and color management software for 3D output.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Experience in technical and service support of Additive Manufacturing 3D fabrication services, 3D scanning and related immersive AR/VR applications.


Qualifications

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $120,000.00.
