Call for Digital Writing and Art - The New River: A Journal of Digital Art and Literature

  • Deadline:
    April 15, 2022, 12:04 a.m.
  • Location:
    Online

The New River is accepting submissions until April 15th!

The New River is one of the oldest journals devoted exclusively to digital writing and art, currently housed at Virginia Tech. We’re looking for new media art, electronic literature, sound, computational text, moving image pieces, and boundary-pressing experiments in between. The New River is seeking work that glitches and gleans, encodes and engages.

In the past, The New River has featured leading artists such as Tina Escaja, Nick Montfort, Stephanie Strickland, J.R. Carpenter, Winnie Soon, Mez Breeze, Steve Tomasula, and many others.

We strongly encourage work from underrepresented and minority artists as well as emerging artists. The New River welcomes and values diversity, and we seek to include voices from all over the world.

Please email submissions to thenewriverVT@gmail.com. More information on how to submit can be found at: thenewriver.us.

We highly recommend that artists review our website to get an idea of the kinds of work that we publish.
