Stillpoint Magazine seeks an artist and a poet to take part in a collaboration to be featured in our next Open Access Issue, due out in April.

The selected artist and poet will be introduced remotely by Stillpoint Magazine and given a four week period to develop a poetic and a visual work for publication in Issue 010. The collaborative process will be framed by the guiding issue concept, which will be provided to the collaborators upon introduction. The degree to which the poet and artist share the process will be up to the collaborators themselves, but the outcome must include a text and a visual work which can be displayed within Stillpoint Magazine’s “pairing” structure. The collaborators will receive editorial and curatorial support as appropriate.

As part of Stillpoint Magazine’s attempts to increase our sustainability as a non-profit, we are carefully exploring the development and auctioning of NFTs. As a result, we expect the final outcome of the collaboration will exist both as a collaborative work in Issue 010 and as a single digital artifact suitable for minting as part of our pilot approach to the NFT market. Those applying need not have experience or knowledge of NFTs or blockchain technology, but should be open to the process of creating work which will be distributed in this way.
