Florida SouthWestern State College is accepting resumes in search of a Professor of Digital Art, Creative Technologies, and Fine Art in the School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences to join our team of exceptional faculty. The School of Arts Humanities and Social Sciences at Florida SouthWestern State College seeks an interdisciplinary artist/designer who works at the intersection of art, design, technology, and digital feminism. This position will be integral in expanding the digital arts program. The ideal candidate will be a practicing exhibiting artist who will bring diverse ideas about educating technological creatives for an ever-changing future. Areas of intellectual and artistic exploration may include but are not limited to digital feminism, feminist history of science and technology, activist art, interdisciplinary art, and internet culture.
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates should have a terminal graduate degree in the fields of digital art, digital design, creative technologies, or a closely related degree. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach communication design and digital media with an emphasis on both fine art and commercial art. Candidates should demonstrate strong personal practice/exhibition record as well as a demonstrated ability to teach digital art with a commitment to cross-disciplinary liberal arts teaching and education.
The applicant should demonstrate expertise in one or more areas: emerging technologies, digital fabrication, performance, VR/AR, graphic design, installation art, interactivity, web design, internet art, music, and video. A strong background in traditional studio arts is desirable.

We are seeking dynamic candidates committed to teaching and mentoring to fostering creative exploration, conceptual thinking and interdisciplinary collaboration. Candidates must be comfortable working with students from varying economic, ethnic, linguistic, religious and academic backgrounds.
