They should be aware of contemporary studio and artistic practices and be able to effectively teach a diverse group of students across all levels of the undergraduate and graduate experience. Candidates should be dedicated to mentoring animation's future creative leaders in culturally competent ways and preparing them to assume vital roles in animation and related creative fields.
Faculty will be expected to teach a combination of classes across traditional and digital tools, storytelling and experimental approaches, media history and production methods. In addition, responsibilities include participating in program service and leadership, curriculum design, admissions, serving on committees and collegewide service as a governing ranked faculty member.
