The New River is accepting submissions of digital art and literature until November 1st!
The New River is the oldest journal devoted exclusively to digital writing and art, currently housed at Virginia Tech. We’re looking for new media writing, electronic literature, sound, computational text, and moving image pieces, but we are also eager to see new, boundary-pressing experiments between these forms. The New River is seeking work that glitches and gleans, encodes and engages.
In the past, The New River has featured artists such as Stephanie Strickland, J.R. Carpenter, Kristen Gallerneaux, Lai-Tze Fan, Nick Montfort, Winnie Soon, Mez Breeze, and many others.
We strongly encourage work from underrepresented and minority artists as well as emerging artists. The New River welcomes and values diversity, and we seek to include voices from all over the world.
Please email submissions to thenewriverVT@gmail.com. More information on how to submit can be found at: thenewriver.us.
We highly recommend that artists review our website to get an idea of the kinds of work that we publish.
We look forward to reviewing your work!
