Dr Sid Fels leads the Human Communication Technologies Laboratory at University of British Columbia, Canada. His interactive installation, ‘Iamascope’, will launch beta\_space, the new exhibition area for experimental work at the Powerhouse, Sydney. beta\_space will enable public engagement with and furthering of recent research in interactive art emerging from UTS Creativity & Cognition Studios.

Dr. Christa Sommerer is an internationally renowned media artist working in the field of interactive computer installation. She is Professor for Interface Culture at the University of Art and Design Linz, Austria & Associate Professor at IAMAS Institute of Advanced Media Art and Sciences, Gifu, Japan
