Seeing I is a psychological art experiment that examines the implications of surveillance technologies on our experience, and questions how much of the individual is an inherent personality and how large a portion of the individual is conditioned through a cultural identity.

For a 7-day exhibition at Ars Electronica, 2019, in Austria, we are looking for 7 sociable individuals to record one day of their life, from the moment you get out of bed in the morning, to the moment you go to bed at night. Using a custom built headband installed with cameras and microphones capturing a continuous 230° field of all immediate sights and sounds, this footage will be played back to artist Mark Farid in a virtual reality headset, who will watch the 7 different lives in 7 days whilst being monitored by a Clinical Psychologist.

We are looking for individuals to record their lives for a minimum of 16-continuous-hours. We are open to genders, sexual preferences, and ages over 18. Applicants must be English speaking.
