Sustainable growth: Regina Frank's big island dress "iLand in Sickness in Health" is on display at the MAAT (Museum of Art Architecture and Technology) in Lisbon, and is in augmented form in Hannover. In this performative version of the work, the artist deals with questions of sustainability and ironically through today's vanity of selfie culture. While her body radiates a meditative silence, her virtual robe grows steadily like a garden of organic plants. The viewer is constantly tempted to focus on either the real or the image of the real along with its augmented environment.
Ueber die Kuenstlerin / About the Artist
