--- About ---
Connections, both personal and professional are fostered online on a regular basis. Paradoxically, the internet is both ephemeral and also a metaphysical tether, allowing for people to strengthen bonds they previously could not have easily maintained. The threatening of Net Neutrality in favor of privatization of the web by politicians further complicates the implications of trust online. Agendas set forth by advertisers infiltrate our sense of trust – goods actively follow passive internet users, reading our minds and filling our subconscious intrusively. Are you sure you want to log off examines the fragility and lull of security provided on the other side of our screens.

Announcing an open call for all video-based works to be screened in the Lower East Side early Fall 2017. Works should range from 1:30-10 minutes in length and should be submitted via the link below.

This project is open to artists of all ages and experience levels. We look forward to learning more about your work.
