Reflections, a collaboration with Aya Rodriguez-Izumi, Art In FLUX and Three and A Half Acres Yoga
Reflections Opening Reception features the unveiling of a 3 interactive sculptures by Aya Rodriguez-Izumi and a special yoga/dance performance with musical accompaniament by Michael Feigenbaum, music & staging. The three interactive public sculptures utilize the collective ideas of art and yoga as platforms for healing, harmony, and reflection while simultaneously encouraging inclusivity and diversity in two practices that are historically non-diverse. FLUX Public Art Projects is an Art In FLUX initiative that supports greater accessibility to the arts and creates opportunities for artists by reclaiming underutilized and unique spaces for art. www.artinfluxharlem.com Three and a Half Acres Yoga empowers communities by bringing the physical and philosophical facets of the ashtanga yoga tradition to nurture, heal, and activate residents.
