Position Summary:
The Department of Art and Design at Monmouth University seeks a graphic and interactive designer to serve as Specialist Professor. This position is for the 2017-2018 academic year and is a one-year initial appointment subject to subsequent multi-year reappointments without limit.
The ideal candidate will bring a broad vision of contemporary visual art, design practice and theory. S/he must show experience and depth at the studio and lecture level, to bring a wide range of professional experience, creativity and critical thinking to the classroom. The candidate should have expertise in the field of graphic design or have extensive industry experience in that field to teach all levels of courses in the graphic design curriculum.

Master’s of Fine Arts (MFA ) degree or higher in Graphic Design or a closely-related field or degree completion by the date of employment.
Two years of full-time or three years of part-time/adjunct college/university teaching.
Expertise in graphic design and design theories, and/or extensive industry experience in graphic design. A record of professional graphic design accomplishments and portfolio.
Expertise and experience to teach all levels of graphic design course curriculum. Proficiency in and the ability to teach conceptual and visual development for design projects that range from print to interactive applications.
