~DECEMBER UNFO~
Manifesto #5:
An Attack on Violence

"I want to show that the seemingly peaceful, consenting society of men, who exist under the sway of unexamined philosophical ideals, is nothing but an exercise of violence over each individual will in order to strengthen the degree of power in those who hold authority over him."

~THE PROJECTION ROOM~
A.G.Capuzzi + E. Dainotti:
Hedgehog's Dilemma video
Until 15/01/17

We are extremely excited to present at The Projection Room one of the most challenging and visceral short videos submitted to us: “Il dilemma dell’istrice” (Hedgehog's Dilemma) by A.G Capuzzi & E. Dainotti. Fragments of a relationship frozen in cold night-time frames are related and re-related in a story which deconstructs its own logic, releasing the need for intimacy but paradoxically repelling the actors convulsed by the impulse to be together. Drawing from the ‘Hedgehog’s Dilemma’, Capuzzi and Dainotti explore the parallel needs of complex human impulses which draw us together and drive us apart.

~THE CUTTING ROOM~
The Unstitute presents:
Keyhole video
Until 15/01/17

There are all kinds of ways to get a nice soft body out of a hard, protective shell. Getting into a house is no different. Brute, physical force will always prevail in the end...

~UN[dis]CRIMINATE~
Ongoing

Ynin Shillo:
Meser Metzer
+
Jack Ashley:
Floating Through the Jeepney Downs

The Unstitute is proud to admit two exceptional new videos into the UN[dis]CRIMINATE archive, further deepening our quest to interrogate and forge a radical theory of diversity fit for our future co-existence.

Ynin Shillo is a conceptual interdisciplinary artist, Initiator, Art Director and Curator of the AVI Festival, Israel
"The performance was carried out by the artists Ynin Shillo and Irit Shillo, in May 2014 on both sides of the separation wall, near the checkpoint of Shuafat. The performance included digging of soil on both sides of the separation wall and its replacement by the artists. The piece point out to the path from the values of brotherhood, co-existence and cooperation as a platform for peace in 1970's Israeli Socialists concepts, until today that even the concept of the land is that it is a Capital."

Jack Ashley is a filmmaker born in Romford in 1993, now living and working in London, UK
"The language that travels through suburban England warps and develops nuances as it moves. Embedded amongst this travel, all too often, is political influence, personal preference, prejudice and the fleshing out and normalisation of hatred."
