Assistant Professor of Ceramics

Position:
Studio Artist: CERAMICS. University of Oregon. Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Ceramics. Salary commensurate with experience. Starting Sept. 2017. MFA, active professional practice, and college teaching required. The ideal candidate should possess a solid foundation in a wide range of ceramic-related methodologies and familiarity with contemporary approaches to creative practice and pedagogy. Candidates should have a fluency in critical theory and historical precedents within a contemporary art and craft discourse. Teach introduction through advanced courses in Ceramics while contributing to the department’s interdisciplinary graduate program. Additional interdisciplinary opportunities in foundations and graduate coursework available. Ability to work cooperatively with diverse faculty and student populations.
