Call for Artists: Folding Art – Exhibition and Museum Store Sale

CICA museum is inviting artists worldwide to participate in the international exhibition “Folding Art” featuring paper craft, origami, wall art, and paper-based instruction art. Fifty copies of each work will be printed on A3 (420mm x 297mm) 300g/m² snow-white paper. Copies of works will be available for purchase through the museum’s online store, which will be launched in December, and offline store.

*How to submit your work:
– Please send us 1–10 JPG images for paper craft, origami, wall art, and/or paper-based instruction art. Kindly include your bio. Please email these materials to “cicamuseum.submission@gmail.com.”
– Each image should include solid lines for cutting, dotted lines for folding, and directions, if needed.

*Printing and installation of works
– Each work will be printed on snow-white A3 (420mm x 297mm), 300g/m² paper. Please let us know if you prefer a different size or paper type. Additional fees may apply.
-Fifty copies will be printed per work.
-Selected works will be printed and installed by our curators and assistants. Two copies of each work will be installed: one as an original printed copy and the other as final output.
-If your works are selected, you will be required to pay a $100 fee for each work. The fee covers the printing, installation, and maintenance of the work.

*Museum Store Sale
-A certificate of authenticity issued by the CICA Museum will be sent to the buyer of the work.
-The store takes a 35% commission on work sold.
-After two years under contract, the unsold copies can be returned to the artist, if requested. The artist is responsible for the shipment and delivery of his/her work to and from CICA Museum, as well as all related expenses.

*Image permission and release
-The artist will retain his/her copyright to the submitted materials. CICA Museum will not reproduce the materials for any other purpose(s) other than this show without prior permission from the artist.
