Stuart and Barbara Padnos Distinguished Artist-in-Residence

Required Qualifications and Education:
Candidates for the position must have a record of: distinguished professional achievement as a studio artist, demonstration of effective mentorship of students, and a record of outstanding teaching performance and effectiveness with students beyond the high school level. A terminal degree in studio art or substantial experience in at least one of these studio areas is required: ceramics, drawing, metals/jewelry, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and new media.

Responsibilities – Essential Functions:
Full-time, two semester position. Position will include: teaching assignment equivalent to one course per semester, participation in group and individual critiques, and mentoring for a broad range of students. Position is expected to maintain a high level of creative activity and professional visibility.

Responsibilities – Non-essential Functions:
Projects that involve the local community as well as the student population are encouraged but not required.

Salary: Competitive; commensurate with experience.
