Sell your “Internet-ish” stuff at the Internet Yami-Ichi in NY2!!!
The Internet Yami-ÂIchi (Internet Black Market) is a free-Âto-Âattend flea market where people gather and exchange “Internet-Âish” things in real life. Originating in Tokyo, the Internet Yami-Ichi was founded by artist duo Exonemo and their online art collective IDPW and has travelled to over ten cities including Berlin, Moscow, and Seoul. This November, The Internet Yami-Ichi, finally returning to New York, will once again be featured at Knockdown Center a 50,000 square foot former door factory-Âturned arts space in Maspeth, Queens.
One year ago, the first ever Internet Yami-Ichi in the United States took place at Knockdown Center. The market, featured in The New York Times, Fusion, and Hyperallergic, featured over 130 vendors and 1,500 attendees. Vendor wares included glitch-embroidered clothing, an Internet addiction clinic, and a viewing tent of Qanta Shimizu’s dad sleeping in Japan.
We look forward to your participation!!!
