Going into its 10th year, DG2017 promises to be a solid experience in immersive projected art. The Alys Foundation has given over $100,000 in awards and artist stipends over the last 10 years, all to further work in the public art realm.
We invite artists, designers, photographers, and architects to submit their artwork to be projected under a light-starved sky and onto the ultra reflective walls of Alys Beach. Three evenings, May 19-21, 2017 will see the town of Alys Beach lit with stunning examples of
> projection mapping (attach proposal to submission)
> generative art
> experimental short films and animation (maximum 2 minutes)
> sound, motion and/or light responsive installations
Cash awards by a panel of art and industry experts, includes
> Best of Show, $5,000
> three awards of Special Recognition, each $1,000
> and Curator’s Choice, $2,000
There is NO entry fee. Apply here, or visit digitalgraffiti.com for more information about the festival.
