Marymount California University seeks submissions for a Graphic Design/Typography exhibition titled, “TEXT, TYPE, TYPOGRAPHY.”
Artists are encouraged to submit work that explores and celebrates the art and design of typography. In the last 100 years, typeface production, type posters, publications, branding, advertisements, packaging, ephemera, street and road signs all showcasing typography- have completely revolutionized the way we communicate and understand our environment. Though we may be aware or not, typography is an art form that is constantly influencing the world’s culture and mindset. We invite both designers and fine artists to creatively explore typography and to think of how to continue finding new and innovative ways, to push forward the union of visual art and language as time moves on.
