Join us to celebrate the conclusion of Lauren Halsey: Kingdom Splurge (4)--a project that transformed Recess into an interplanetary liquid environment composed of hyperreal gardens, fantasy landscapes and pools of beauty water.

This reception also marks the launch of "Ecstatic Resilience"-- an essay that Sable Elyse Smith wrote in parallel to Kingdom Splurge (4) as part of Recess's Critical Writing program. A limited number of copies of this essay, in the form of a CD booklet, will be available along with CD mix tapes that Smith and Halsey created collaboratively.
