The Mobile Phone Photo Show (MPPS)

The Mobile Phone Photo Show (MPPS) Invites Participants from Around the World to Send In Photographs Taken With Their Mobile Phones.

Rx presents "The Mobile Phone Photo Show" (MPPS), a participatory
exhibition of mobile phone photography curated by Kurt Bigenho and Gregory Cowley. Opening May 20 with a reception from 7-10pm, the MPPS installation will capture and process thousands of mobile phone photographs sent in by participants from all over the world, during the course of the exhibition. MPPS runs through June 18, 2004 at 132 Eddy Street, San Francisco. Gallery hours are daily by appointment, as well as nightly Thursday-Saturday.

The exhibition features video monitors, projectors, kiosks, a window-display photo booth activated from outside, as well as a 60x20-foot wall which will eventually be covered in printed photos. Participants are required to register. Registration is free to anyone with a photo-capable mobile phone and is available by logging onto the rxgallery.com website and following the MPPS link.
