PART TIME ARTS AND MEDIA COMPUTER TECHNICIAN
Waterfront Campus- San Pedro, CA

Under direction of the Assistant Dean of the Arts & Media Division, this part-time staff position is responsible for supporting the technology needs of the Arts & Media Division. Responsibilities include managing Mac hardware/OS/software located in media labs, production studio, and editing suites as well as supporting Mac workstations at multiple sites to support Arts & Media faculty and students. Successful applicants will demonstrate experience supporting faculty and other users as well as an appreciation for the traditions and mission of a Catholic college.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
• Manage technology, purchasing and integration of Apple hardware within the framework of college-wide technology infrastructure including local area networks and internet access and support for off-campus instructional sites.
• Responsible for routine care, maintenance, repair orders and tracking for all Arts & Media related technology including student and faculty computer workstations, scanners, printers, digital projectors, and Apple local area network servers
• Assist faculty and students with software related issues.
• Manage Apple Mac server and profiles and configuration settings for all college owned Mac hardware

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts, Computer Science or related field required. Applicants must have a minimum of three years of Apple Macintosh Technology support experience, both OS X and Server, preferably in an academic setting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, expert knowledge of Apple OS X 10.9 or above, OS Server App 3 or above and experience installing Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk, Avid Media Composer, Apple Final Cut Pro X, and Apple Remote Desktop or similar software used for remotely managing Mac computers. Candidate should also have experience building custom Mac OS X configurations and images and using DeployStudio or similar deployment software, and have basic knowledge of local area networks, working with switches, routers, etc. Must have flexibility to work evening and weekend hours as needed. Apple Certification (ACSP/ACTC) and CCNA.
