The Department of Art at the University of Oregon is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Fibers. Salary commensurate w/experience. Starting Sept. 2016. MFA, active professional practice and college teaching required. The ideal candidate should possess a solid foundation in a wide range of fibers-based methodologies and familiarity with contemporary approaches to creative practice and pedagogy. Candidates should have a fluency in critical theory and historical precedents within a contemporary art and craft discourse. Teach intro through adv courses in Fibers with additional interdisciplinary opportunities in foundations and graduate course work.
