2007 ANNUAL CONFERENCE

November 2-4, 2007

As the phrase "fine arts" is theoretically inseparable from the dialectic of its institutional history and that of visual culture, its socio-historical context, or the model of anthropology, this forum invites papers investigating both mediums of the fine arts on their own or through their intersections with other cultural arenas. Topics include painting, sculpture, architecture, printmaking, photography, design, fashion, electronic media, installation, and land art—either medium-based or within an interdisciplinary context. Proposals for individual papers or entire sessions are welcome. Professors interested in coordinating sessions of student papers—graduate or undergraduate—are also encouraged to submit.

Deadline for Proposals: June 15, 2007.
