Effect of Humanities on the evolution of computing?

Hi, Long time lurker, first time poster (I think).
Does anyone know:
1. whether there is a book on the history of the influence of the Humanities and Arts on the science and engineering of computing? I don't mean books on computer art, but rather books on how the Humanities directly helped (if at all) originate or develop the notions of the computer, the Internet, the digital, A.I., and so on.
2. an edited collection that encapsulates the various (smarter) Humanities objections to computing (reduced attention span, digital divide, landfills, and so on)?
Thanks
