I'm a little shocked that this case hasn't aroused more comment here & more than a little disappoitnted it doesn't seem to have been covered by the Rhizome staffers, especially when I think of the generous response to the JoyWar events and to the attacks on Steve Kurtz a few years back.
The question of peer/community support aside, even *journalistically* it should surely be a major issue that someone faces loss of tenure and a possible criminal investigation over art related activities.
Here's a couple more documents that give some background to the case:

This is as much as I know. If anyone has more recent or just more information it'd be useful to have it in the public domain…
cheers
michael
I wrote about this sometime back:

I share the link as the videos and other resources mentioned should still be relevant to become initially informed.

Thanks Eduardo!
Nope, no discussion of the Dominguez case here. If you want to see an archive of a spirited discussion and defense of bang lab's work, see the April thread on the -empyre- list (some great posts spill over into the beginning of May as well):
https://lists.cofa.unsw.edu.au/pipermail/empyre/2010-April/thread.html
But this:
-empyre- is not a chat space, nor an announcement or self promotion list, nor online performance space, and doesn't accept HTML formatted email or attachments on the list. The facilitators reserve the right to not publish posts that disregard these guidelines, or the current month's topics, disrespect the featured guests, or monopolize the forum either via individuals or group, and may unsubscribe anyone consistently doing so.
is a price way too high to pay!
I want Rhizome, which I love dearly & perhaps too sentimentally, to do the right thing…
michael
True, but -empyre- has different goals, a different subset of participants, and, yes, different community standards. Ideally spaces like -empyre- and the old-style rhizome would flourish jointly, but given the current restrictions on posting here the full potential of cross-list continuations of discussions is not being enjoyed.
"I want Rhizome, which I love dearly & perhaps too sentimentally, to do the right thing… "
Too late…
