Live Art Funding Opportunities - Arts Council of England

The Visual Arts Department aims to extend the understanding and
appreciation of Live and Performance Art in the context of visual
culture. The department, in partnership with key national and
international organisations is inviting applications for funding for
projects taking place in England in 2001/2002 under the following
schemes:

Shooting Live Artists Deadline: 06/08/01

The Arts Council of England, BBC, Studio of the North and b.tv invite
Live Artists to submit applications for projects exploring the context
of converging media platforms. The work should move beyond
documentation, exploring the potential of new media as production and
post production tools in the creation of innovative content for
distribution across a variety of platforms, including single screen,
installation and online networks. We welcome proposals from individual
practitioners or production teams e.g. Live Artists working with digital
artists or media producers.

Live Art Fellowship Deadline:20/08/01

Applications are invited for an outstanding opportunity for two Live
Artists to develop their practice in the context of a three month HIAP
residency at the Cable Factory in Helsinki with additional lecturing
work at the Turku Art Academy. The first residency will commence in Late
September 2001 and second in late January 2002. Application forms and
